All We Have is Now

“There’s only one thing more precious than time  and that’s who/what we spend it on”

My first week in London has been a complete blur to say the least. My parents and I arrived on Monday morning after a dreadful four hours of turbulence on the airplane (meaning no sleep whatsoever). Jet lag hit us hard, but we made it through by the power of coffee & much needed napping. So far we have spent our time shopping, exploring London’s grid, & preparing to move in to my new home for the next 3 months. Similar to New York, London is extremely diverse with mixtures of people and cultures from all over the world. It’s refreshing to experience new tastes, new sights, & new transportation systems (sorry not sorry MTA). I’m beyond excited to start my internship this Tuesday as well as live independently for the first time.

As an end note to this quick blog post, I want to give a large thank you to my parents for traveling miles upon miles to help me dive into this crazy adventure. I wouldn’t be who I am without your support & love. This week has been extremely hard for several personal reasons, so I want you to know how appreciative I am to have you both. One of the main lessons I have learned this week is how crucial of a role time plays in all of our lives. Time is precious, & it has its limits. I aim to become more mindful of how I choose to spend my minutes here, guided by purpose and determination.

  1. Thank you for making us proud each and every day. You will do great in London and in your internship. Be a sponge. Take it all in and absorb all you can. We love you. Mom an Dad.
